On Wednesday 23rd June 2010, the Foyer held an event for the England Vs Slovenia match where England had to win to stay in the World Cup 2010.

The sun was shining, classic football anthems were blared out throughout the day, faces were painted, and a BBQ was held at half time and at the end of the match. The game was viewed on a large screen in the Media Centre where all our residents, students and staff watched anxiously.

It was a day of excitement and fear. England had to win to make it to the next 16 of the tournament.
