Bradford Youth Development Partnership and Jamie’s Ministry of Food teamed up to run a healthy eating scheme at Dixons City Acadamy and Bradford Foyer were invited to take part in the healthy eating community project. The students of Dixons City Academy came to the Foyer to cook a 3-course meal for the residents and also donated food hampers. They set up the Basic Skills room and served food they had cooked that day – soup, curry and ice cream.
There were many presentations and awards handed out on the day. It was a fun packed day with lots of quizzes with a happy resident winning her prize of strawberries, – and of course a lot of eating!
Other young people from other housing providers and also members of Bradford Council attended the event.
You will be able to see photos from the day on our new Facebook group.
