Foundation Learning

Foundation Learning is open to young people 16-18 years old. If you are not yet ready, able or experienced enough to get into employment or training then FL is for you.

Bradford Foyer’s tutors will work with you individually and as a group, using worksheets, social activities, personal projects, and games. Foundation Learning will improve your motivation and confidence, develop your literacy, numeracy and IT skills. Develop your personal effectiveness and help you to gain knowledge, skills and understanding of your chosen career. Individual guidance and support will be provided from your Bradford Foyer Tutor and your Connexions Personal Adviser.

OCN Qualifications will be gained in PSD (Personal Social Development) Employability, and Functional skills.

Media And Filmmaking is an area where the students are able to learn new technical skills and gain an OCN Qualification in Teamwork skills.

You will normally start by attending 16.5 hours per week (3 days a week) The course is flexible depending on the individual, most students’ stay with us 35 weeks and then it is reviewed. Throughout your course we will work together to select your move to the next step of your development programme.
